London hosts the first Muslim International Film Festival

Photo: Empty Net - Twenty somethings Amir and Narges have found what feels like true love in their hometown by the coast of the Caspian sea. But in today's Iran that's far from enough to build a life together, and they are forced to keep the relationship secret. Can their love, hopes and dreams survive the tightly knit web of tradition, corruption, and social hierarchy that continues to rule over the lives of a new generation in Iran?

The inaugural Muslim International Film Festival (30 May – 2 June, London) champions the narratives of international Muslim filmmakers and spotlight their compelling stories.

We also offer a platform for productions inspired by Muslim culture and faith, embracing filmmakers of all backgrounds. Our mission is to celebrate and amplify the diverse voices exploring the rich tapestry of Muslim experiences.

The MIFF aims to help emerging filmmakers to access opportunities to further their careers. With a focus on recognising and supporting diverse talent, the festival brings together filmmakers with the movers and shakers in the industry, enabling emerging artists to break into the mainstream.

The MIFF will begin with an opening night red carpet gala attended by high-profile supporters followed by industry talks addressing current challenges and bringing together industry professionals with established and emerging artists. MIFF promises new and diverse talent, showcasing ground-breaking story-telling and visually stunning film.
